the holidays started early

Grandma and my cousin Maggie came to visit us this weekend. We gave them their Christmas gifts already, and Maggie helped me open my Christmas gifts from them. I love wrapping paper!!

aaaahhhh!

I'm 9 months old today. This is a very Asian looking picture of me. Mama took this picture right before I was about to take my morning nap. She says that is the easiest time to get me to sit somewhat still. Only 3 more months until my first birthday!

i wanna go outside!

It was a beautiful day and I wanted to go outside, but mama wouldn't let me. So....

... I tried to go outside by myself anyways.

I helped mama empty the dishwasher today.

one month to go...

Only a month left until Christmas. I'm excited. Mama said that she has my Christmas presents ready. I like playing with the wrapping paper when she is trying to wrap gifts - it's fun. Last night, the whole family went to the Botanical Gardens to see the Galaxy of Lights. There were so many Christmas lights that I didn't know where I should look - even when they were trying to get a picture of me.

overseas travel

Tita Nikki has been travelling around Europe for the past month and a half or so. This past Saturday, she returned home to the States. But while she was gone, I got all these postcards from her....

This is what they said on the back (click on the picture to make it bigger so you can read them). She is so creative and thoughtful. Mama likes what it says because she said she wants me to travel and have life experiences like her and her sisters had when they were growing up, and dad never got when he was growing up.

eight is great...

... but my shoes are greater! My shoes are so good that I decided to taste them.

I am eight months old today. Mama, dad and I went to visit my new friend, Ian Malcolm. I can't wait to start playing with him.

busy little bee

I have been really busy lately. Mom and I spent the morning at Starbucks on Friday with some friends. Last night, we went with dad to his friend's bonfire, where as you can see, I liked to play with the grass. It was cold. I have another busy week ahead...

But most of all, I am looking forward to the arrival of my new friend tomorrow. I wonder what his name will be???

my first presidential election...

Mama, dad and I braved the long lines at the polls this morning to exercise our right to vote. I hope you do the same.
