the thumb is so last century

If you want to be cool and hip, I'm starting the newest trend - trying to put my whole fist in my mouth.
Mom and I have been busy lately. She was supposed to go meet the breakfast bunch a couple weeks ago, but couldn't go because I had a fever after I got my 4-month shots. That Saturday, we drove to Copperhill (dad's hometown) so I could meet my greatgrandma. She came over to grandma's house to see me for a few minutes. When we got back, mom spent the next few days doing all our laundry and taking a trip to Babies R Us. She said they had a class she wanted to take.

I went to my first Gator event on Wednesday, but it was getting close to my bedtime so mom and I had to leave early. It was fun, though. It's great to be a Florida Gator. Mr. Ron said that there are only 30 something days until the start of college football. I went with mom to AT&T to pick out a new phone on Thursday. She blames me for her other phone not working. It broke sometime on Tuesday so she went without a phone for a couple days, which she said was not too big of a deal since nobody really calls her except Lola and Titas.

Lately, mom has been finding me like this in my crib when I wake up in the mornings. Mom and dad usually put me in there so I am laying straight, but I move too much and wake up in different directions.
We are going to be in Nashville this weekend because mom has some sort of meeting. Dad and I are probably going to hang out with Ward and my buddy, Hunter.

Today is my 4-month birthday. Next Wednesday, I have to go to my doctor to get more shots and stuff. Mom says that I have changed a lot and dad wants to know where the little boy went who loved to sleep on his chest went.

fort myers, part 2

So my dad was worried about taking me on an airplane. He had nothing to worry about. Supposedly, I was very well behaved on three out of four flights. Not bad. Dad says that there was a very nice flight attendant on our first flight that walked with me for almost the entire flight since I was so fussy. We’ve been back in Huntsville for a couple of days now. Mom has been busy trying to write thank you cards for me while I am sleeping. I am so spoiled by her family. Dad says we broke even (whatever that means) on this trip. I got a mountain of clothes and stuff for my baptism from all of mom’s titas and titos, plus money to start a bank account for me.
July 4th was Lolo’s 65th birthday. One of the many reasons we went to visit mom’s family. He was so happy to see me.
I also was baptized on that day. Tita Missy and Tita Nikki bought me a cute tuxedo and Ninong Albert bought me some shoes to match.

I met my Great Lola, who will be 95 this year. Mom says that it is very hard for her to travel and that it was very important for me to see her since I am her one and only great grandchild.
Mom and dad let me go swimming as well. They tried to keep me in the shade as much as possible since it is not recommended to put sunscreen on me until I am at least 6 months old.

By the time we got to our house from the airport, I was exhausted.

fort myers, part 1

I heart Florida. I had lots of fun with all my relatives. Here are some pictures from my trip there.

Mom and I are on our way to a play group so I will update more tomorrow. I hope everyone had a fun 4th of July like I did.

leaving on a jet plane...

... don't know when I'll be back again. Actually, we will be back next Tuesday. I get to go on my first plane ride. We are going to Mom's hometown for Lolo's 65th birthday and I will be baptized as well. I am excited to see everyone and to go swimming for the first time! Lola told Mom that GreatLola talks to my picture everyday, saying that I am the best great grandson. I don't think she realizes that I am her only great grandson. Oh well. I get to see Lolo, Lola, Tita Missy and Tita Nikki again too. Ninong Albert and Ninong Ren will be there also.

I am trying to wave "bye," but the stupid toy got in the way.

Dad thinks Mom is crazy for wanting to fly (rather than drive) to Florida with me, but she said her mom took her and her sisters on planes when they were young too. Plus, she wants me to experience everything I can. Will update (with lots of pictures, I'm sure) sometime after we get back from Ft. Myers.

pitiful

Miss Kristina came to visit us Friday afternoon for a few hours. Just when I was starting to get used to her, she had to go home. Mom said I looked so sad after she left.

bueller... bueller...

Oh wait - I mean, drooler. I grab onto anything I can chew. Mom says that I have been drooling like crazy. She changes my clothes more times than she cares too and can't wait until I stop teething. She's going to have to wait awhile.

new toy

Mom and dad bought me this new toy yesterday to play with. Mom says it will serve two purposes, but the main one is so that she doesn't have to hold me upright all the time. I don't like laying down anymore - on my back or on my tummy. It is gettnig old so I like to be held up and look around and see things. The second is that she hopes it will help me get rid of some of the baby fat on my legs. She says they are getting chubbier everyday. Go figure, my exercise physiologist mother is already putting me on an exercise program. Dad always wondered when this would happen. It has a trampoline-like platform that I can jump on - although my legs can barely touch the platform right now. As you can see, the seat is still a little big for me so mom has to put rolled up blankets around me to keep me in place. She says that so far, it is serving it's purpose. I like looking at all the toys and the bright colors.
